Salwan Montessori School, Rajinder Nagar Scholastic THE LITTLE SALWANIANS WEAVE MAGIC ONCE AGAIN!: The Inter- Class Rhyme and Story-telling Competition was held on 25th and 26th July, 2011 for class Nursery & KG (Morning and Afternoon). It was an effort on our behalf to teach the children to be stage friendly and confident as well. UNLEASH THE ARTIST WITHIN: An Inter-Class Art Competition in association with Camlin was held on 29^th August 2011. Spontaneously and without hesitation, children reached for pencils and crayons and they proved that "As a child, everyone is an artist. The difficulty is staying one as an adult". G.D.Salwan Public School, Rajinder Nagar Scholastic GANDHI PEACE FOUNDATION SPEECH COMPETITION: Vishnu Dighambar secured second position-cash prize of 300. GLOBAL TEACHER ACCREDITATION: School qualified the Global Teacher Accreditation Assessment developed by the British Council and Cambridge Education Foundation. It focused on work based learning for selected teachers to develop and strengthen their understanding of global education and embed it in the curriculum. Our Teacher,Ms. Rashmi Khurana, with full co-operation of the School Principal and staff took up the research project and passed the Global Teacher Accreditation assessment successfully and will be awarded for the same. HINDUSTAN PRATIBHA SAMMAN: Three students received certificates and medals from the Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Shiela Dixit. SCIENCE INSPIRE AWARD: Shruti Aggarwal, 8thd standard student of G.d. Salwan Public School was rewarded with the Prestigious Science Inspire award by Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. 9TH ZONAL GYMNASTIC CHAMPIONSHIP: The Gymnastic Team bagged the third position in the 9th zonal gymnastic championship. Ganesh Chander sharma of class V B bagged the IIIrd position in Floor Exercises. Jiya Jindal won the First Prize in Free Hand Rhythmic Gymnastic. ONLINE CONTEST: Xth Class students of our school participated in an online contest named ‘ Henkel eco- petition’- Jasdeep Singh, X- B secured first position. Jaspreet Kaur of Class V won a cash prize of 2100/-, a bronze medal, a T-shirt, an appreciation certificate for her exceptional performance under 1st International English Olympiad Category. 1st International English Olympiad: 2 students each of Class III & IV won cash prize of 250/-. 10th National Cyber Olympiad Level II: 2 students of Class IV won cash prize of 250/- each. 13th National Science Olympiad Level II – 2 students of Class IV & V won CD’s worth 399/- Co-Scholastic GYMNASTIC CHAMPIONSHIP 2011: 9th Zonal Gymnastic Championship-won two Bronze medals. SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP 2011: Delhi State Open Roller Skating Championship -won 2 medals. JEET KUNE DO TOURNAMENT 2011: 23rd Delhi State Jeet-Kune-Do Tournament -won the Runners Up Trophy at the Sub Junior level- won 7 Gold Medals and 10 Silver medals. Three students selected for the State Championship to be held in October this year at “Rai Barelli” U.P. INTER SCHOOL SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP: Won 2 Silver medals. NATIONAL IL-MOO-DO MARTIAL ART CHAMPIONSHIP: Won 3 Gold medals, 5 Silver medals and 2 Bronze medals. 2ND NCR HIGH SPEED ROLLER SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP: Won 1 Gold medal and 4 Silver medals.
