Adventure Day Camp: An adventure day camp was organized on 25.01.12 for the nursery and KG sections. Some of the adventure activities that the students enjoyed were Commando net, Three-tyre hurdle Rope-ladder climbing , Commando crawl , Tarzan swing etc. All the children had a fun-filled day at the adventure camp.

Times NIE News Makers Meet 2012 : Vani Garg of class VIII  and Jasdeep Singh of class XI along with Ms. Pooja Datta from G.D Salwan Public School, Rajinder Nagar attended the Times NIE News Makers Meet 2012 at Siri Fort Auditorium on 16^th Jan’ 12. The theme for the meet was ‘Make Your Mother Smile’ in association with ‘What Can I Give’ (WCIG) an initiative started by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and supported by the Times Foundation.

The event not only had the words of wisdom from the former President ,Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam but also got a once in a lifetime opportunity of having an interactive session with him .The other eminent personalities to grace the occasion were  Mr. Rahul Kansal (Chief Marketing Officer Times Foundation), Mr. Sanjeev Vohra (Director RMI) and Mr. Srijan Pal Singh (Facilitator WCIG). The meet was anchored by Ms. Gitika Ganju Dhar.

Dr. Kalam said that the formula to succeed was

 KNOWLEDGE = CREATIVITY + RIGHTEOUSNESS + COURAGE.

Salwanians visit the ISKCON Temple :Classes VII and VIII of G.D Salwan Public School, Rajinder Nagar visited the Iskcon Temple which is also called the Sri Sri Radha Parthasarathi Mandir  located at Hare Krishna Hills, in the east of  Kailash, New Delhi.

The children were accompanied by  Ms. Pratima Chawla , Ms.Pooja Datta , Ms.Sangita Sharma and Ms.Rekha Sharma . It was an attempt to make children believe in a culture of respect, not just amongst humans, but towards animals, plants, and all of God's creation.

Inter-Class Skating Speed Competition: Inter-class skating speed competition was held for the KG classes on 31.01.12. The children enthusiastically participated in the competition. Winners are as follows:

Farewell Report: The farewell ceremony of G.D. Salwan Public School named “SHUBHKAMNAYEIN” was held on 18.02.2012  in the school premises. The ceremony was conducted to bless the outgoing batch of class XII students.

Adventure Camp :  G.D  Salwan Public School, Rajinder Nagar  organized a day camp for the students of classes IV -XI on 4^th  of February 2012. The Adventure Camp was conducted at Camp Tikkiling, Gurgaon. It was designed to give the students ,an opportunity to develop skill and confidence while enjoying a variety of  adventure activities like Trekking, Rock Climbing, Rappelling, River Crossing, , Zorbing , Obstacle Course, Lectures On Various Subjects ,Tent Pitching And Various  Team Building Games. The purpose of the camp was educational and holistic development of the children.

GrandParents' Day: Montessori Department of G.D. Salwan Public School celebrated Grandparent’s Day on 2^nd March 2012. Mrs. Vijay Laxmi Singh and Brigadier Samarjeet Singh were invited for the programme . The grandparent’s were left spellbound by the various performances of the children. This was followed by a very inspiring speech by few grandparents who not only appreciated the schools progress but also congratulated the management, staff and students for their efforts.
