Adventure Capsule for tiny tots : An Adventure Capsule was organized for the little Salwanians in Najafgarh, Mitraon village. Adventurous activities were added into the already available platter catering to the growing needs of children. Children of classes Nursery-II attended this camp from the school and enjoyed thoroughly the thrills it provided. Numerous adventures awaited the needs of different age groups. River crossing, Burma bridge, net climbing, commando crawl, balancing beam had all children in the true sports spirit forging ahead with pride with their team leaders. Apart from this, they also enjoyed dj-music, puppet show, magic tricks, sumptuous breakfast, snacks and lunch along with tug of war, tractor ride, bullock cart ride and camel ride. Overall, the camp was fun filled and exciting for every child present out there and we came back with a whole new experience and daring spirits!!

 

Melodious contribution to Basant Utsav : Our school choir group ‘Swaranjali’ from Salwan Junior Public School, Naraina Vihar, welcomed the august gathering of esteemed guests, Principals, proud parents, teachers and all the organizers at the Basant Panchmi festival celebrated at SPS , Rajinder Nagar,  with Devi-Stuti followed by a group song- Aakash Ke Uss Paar….

 

Kindergarten Activities :

     Republic Day Celebration : To implant the enthusiasm of Republic India, we also celebrated Republic Day festival in the school with same nerve and earnestness. Children performed on patriotic numbers in front of everyone and sang patriotic rhymes in tricolored attires.

To encourage the feeling of oneness, children were also dressed as people from all the major states of India- exhibiting the importance and specialty of the particular part of India.

·        Talent Show : Recently, kindergarteners presented a beautiful Talent Show- ‘SHAKA LAKA  BOOM BOOM’- wherein every child had the opportunity to perform and identify his/ her hidden talent through numerous categories like singing, dancing, storytelling, rhyme recitation, instrumentals, yoga, puzzle paint etc. Each child was rewarded with a participation prize apart from the winning prizes.
 

    Our young performers enjoyed the openness of the platform and left the audiences asking for more.

Mock Elections :The students of Salwan Junior Public School had mock elections 2012on 16 February . The process of mock elections emphasizes teaching the election process to students — researching options, making their own decisions, debating and finally voting. The legwork for the elections started in the 3rdweek of Feburary. The short listed students were given time to prepare their election strategy. The students designed their manifestos with a lot of enthusiasm and went around campaigning for it. The students of Classes – V and VI attended  the polls to vote for their favourite and deserving candidate. Each student was able  to take his/her ballot to a polling booth within the school premises.
