It was the dream and vision of the Founder, Late Pandit Girdhari Lal Salwan to provide education to all, irrespective of caste, creed, class or religion. Over the last seven decades we have upheld this vision and strived to make it a reality.

 Education indeed, is the most powerful tool that we can use for making a difference in the world. Each child in the country deserves to be empowered with this tool so as to serve the society effectively and take the nation to greater heights.

I am proud of the commendable efforts made by Salwan Schools in grooming our children into responsible citizens.

Salwan Schools at Common Wealth Games 2010, Opening Ceremony

The Salwan Education Trust has always been an ardent advocate of imparting holistic education to its students and in pursuing this goal the students wholeheartedly participate in activities promoting Indian Culture. Salwan Schools presence was thus evident in the opening and closing ceremony of Commomwealth Games 2010, sporting extravaganza as well as in Youth Festival organized in the capital.

Environmental Projects

As responsible citizens of the world, our constant endeavour has been to create awareness towards our environment. Green Schools Programme, an initiative taken by the Centre of Science and Environment, New Delhi is one such project Salwan Schools have been associated with. As part of the project SPS Rajinder Nagar, SPS Afternoon, SPS Gurgaon, SPS Mayur Vihar and gd Salwan have put in place a system to conserve energy, recycle resources, proper utilization of transport, waste management and other measures like rain water harvesting  Appreciation and acknowledgement by Centre of Science and environment is a benchmark for our schools at the National Level.

Exchange Programmes

21^st century  heralded  a new era of globalization hence, it is imperative that the students are well prepared to face global challenges. With the aim of providing exposure to the prevailing practices in the other parts of the world, International  Exchange programmes are an integral part of the schools run under aegis of the Trust.
