THE GREAT LENT (50 DAYS)

The Great Lent are the most important days in the cycle of events in Christian faith. It is specifically set apart as a time of fast, prayer and meditation wherein the work and life of Jesus Christ is remembered. The Christians connect themselves to his passion and death on the cross.

Lent is a spiritual retreat of the church through which the members of the church meditate upon the cross of the Christ and submit to it in a sense of complete repentance. It is a period of fasting and introspection. Lent is based on the spiritual practice of fasting &  prayers,  both in old testament and  in new  testament.
