As a part of the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, the Salwan Education Trust celebrated Gurpurab, the Prakash Utsav of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji on 11th November, 2016 in all Salwan Schools.

A group of 75 Salwanians comprising Heads of Campus Schools, teachers, parents and students visited Akali Baba Phoola Singh Gurudwara and prayed for National Unity and Harmony.

In his address, Shri Sushil Dutt Salwan, Chairman, Salwan Education Trust inspired the students to incorporate the teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in their life and respect their elders. He also encouraged the students to uphold the secular spirit of India and develop love for humanity through their actions. The students of all the Campus Schools presented a beautiful rendition of Ek Onkar and other shabads which were appreciated by one and all present. Bhai Manohar Singh Ji, Head Ragi, Bangla Sahib Gurudwara and his accompanists captivated the gathering with a shabad recital linking everyone present with one god- the Wahe Guru. This was followed by Ardaas and distribution of Kada Prasad. Guru ka Langar was served to all the guests.
