Sharvil Rai (Class X) of Salwan Public School, Rajendra Nagar has been selected at the District level for the project “Smart Grain Spoilage Indicator” of the INSPIRE MANAK Awards. ‘Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research’ (INSPIRE) scheme is one of the flagship programmes of Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. The INSPIRE Awards – MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge), being executed by DST in collaboration with National Innovation Foundation – India (NIF), aims to motivate students to innovate and develop scientific temperament.

Sharvil Rai has been awarded a sum of Rs 10,000 from the Government of India for designing the model. The project was mentored by Ms Bhavna Kaushik, Lab Assistant (Biology)
