India has a history of rich culture and heritage, and this heritage resides in the heart and soul of its people. World Heritage Day, a global event observed on 18 April annually, was celebrated in all the branches of Salwan Public School to raise awareness about the need to protect and conserve age-old monuments and sites. The young Salwanians celebrated this day by participating in activities like regional musical and dance performances, watching an audio-visual short film on the ‘Heritage and Culture of India- A Simple Introduction for Young Children’, and poster-making activities.
The young Salwanians celebrated this day by solemnly pleading to preserve and protect the legacy of our heritage and culture. The day concluded with an extensive talk by the teachers of the SST department, who shared words of wisdom on the multitude of heritage sites that India has to offer for the masses to witness.
