Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar, organised a leadership program for the teachers at Pratapgarh Farms, located in the Jhajjar district of Haryana on 7th January 2023. The school Director, Brig AK Tyagi (Retd) enlightened the teachers on their role as academic leaders, touching upon multiple functions of leadership. From setting objectives, organizing tasks and taking the lead to bridge the gap between Management and Staff via effective coordination, direction and motivation, the leaders must fulfil their duties well to support and guide the team at every step.

The leadership camp provided opportunities to teachers to participate in Music & Cultural Activities, adventure activitierds, traditional games such as gilli danda, pithoo, lattoo, kanche goli, archery, gulel, kabbadi, kushti, matki phod, etc. It also introduced them to some of the rural, domestic & Creative Activities, such as handloom weaving, grinding and pounding grains, charkha weaving, to name a few.

Teachers also learnt various agricultural and dairy activities, such as sowing, ploughing, reaping, and tending goats, cows, and buffaloes. They participated in several outdoor and indoor sports, including basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, chess, etc. and showed great energy and enthusiasm. The camp helped teachers to rejuvenate themselves and strengthen their bond with one another by spending time together.
