The Durga Puja, organized by Salwan Education Trust at SPS, Rajender Nagar, ignited the festive spirit with immense enthusiasm and fervor. The festivities began with the sankalp puja of beautifully adorned idol of Goddess Durga, creating an ambiance of grace. The evening’s cultural show, performed by Salwanians, featured a blend of traditional and contemporary acts, mesmerizing the audience. This celebration united spirituality, culture, and entertainment, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.

RAMLILA: SPS, Rajender Nagar students performed a dance on the Ram Bhajan on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami on 23rd October 2023 in ‘Ramlila’ in Rajendra Nagar Locality. This Ramlila is organized by the Rajendra Nagar Art Club which has a legacy of over 70 years.

GANDHI JAYANTI ASSEMBLY: A TRIBUTE TO THE FATHER OF THE NATION

Mahatma Gandhi’s life’s philosophy of non-violence and righteousness is an enduring beacon for all Indians. To celebrate this day and recall the values and lessons from Gandhiji’s life, a special assembly was conducted by Salwan Junior School, Naraina on September 27, 2023, by the students of class IV. With speeches, bhajans, skits, and mesmerizing dances, the students and teachers honored Bapu’s legacy. Ms. Sonia Wadhwa, Head of the School encouraged the audience to keep Gandhi’s ideals alive. This assembly was a testament to the timeless influence of his teachings, reminding us to be better individuals and responsible citizens.

MAHABALI – A captivating portrayal of the life of the legendary poet Goswami Tulsidas  

Salwan Education Trust is dedicated to promoting Indian art and culture, enriching the lives of its stakeholders. Through theatre, we foster confidence, creativity, and empathy, engaging the audience positively. To instill cultural values in our students, we collaborated with the Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts to stage ‘Mahabali,’ a renowned play, on October 28, 2023, at Salwan Public School, Gurugram. This production, directed by M.K Raina, portrays the life of the legendary poet Goswami Tulsidas, known for his rebel and progressive spirit.

The play ‘Mahabali’ highlights Tulsidas’s resistance to royal allure, his democratization of the Ram Katha, and his contribution to making knowledge accessible to all. It was indeed a captivating and enlightening performance that left a lasting impact.

The echoes of ‘Mahabali’ continue to inspire us, with the enduring power of literature, love, and humanity.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐚- 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐝𝐲𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐞𝐬, 𝐀 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐲 was celebrated in SMS Gurugram on 20th October 2023. It was a remarkable event that not only showcased the rich cultural heritage of India but also provided a platform for students to immerse themselves in the epic tale of Lord Rama. The event was a testament to the school’s commitment to promote traditional values and instilling a sense of pride in our heritage. The celebrations commenced with the chanting of Ram Stuti. This solemn ritual set the tone for the day filled with reverence and devotion.

The highlight of the event was a captivating dramatic presentation of scenes from the Ramayana. Students from KG class enthusiastically participated in this play while depicting the key events from the epic, including Lord Rama’s exile, the abduction of Sita, and the battle with Ravana and many more. The elaborate costumes, meticulously crafted props, and exceptional acting left the audience spellbound. The culmination of the event was through Durga Stuti thus emphasizing the essence of Dussehra celebration and the culmination of the auspicious Navratri.
