Accolades and Achievements Best Unique Idea Award

It was a moment of great pride, as our students Ridhi Singal, Saksham Saini and Yojit Sharma from class XI were honoured with the ‘Best Unique Idea Award’ for their project ‘Zero Hunger, Zero Waste’ at the Sustainable Innovators Exhibition, organized by Jagran and Amrita University on 2nd February 2024.

The inspiration behind the ‘Zero Hunger Zero Waste’ initiative stems from a deep-seated concern for the dual crisis of food waste and global hunger. Witnessing the staggering amount of perfectly edible food discarded daily by food retailers, coupled with the sobering reality of widespread hunger, ignited a spark for change. The idea is not just a response to a problem; it is a manifestation of the belief that innovation should be harnessed for societal good. The desire to bridge the gap between surplus food and those in need, while simultaneously aiding businesses in becoming more sustainable, has fueled the development of this groundbreaking app. It is a testament to the power of human creativity, compassion  and responsibility – a small but impactful step towards a world where no one goes hungry, and no food goes to waste.
